J. S. Gravely
J. S. Gravely was head of Winchester’s Experimental Lab, which was started after the Great War. Gravely was a metallurgist and developed heat treating methods for many of Winchester’s products. Of particular note is his work on the Enfield Bayonet and Model 1885 receivers.
